New Sewage in Vladičin Han with Support from the Kingdom of Norway

The construction of a sewage network in the village of Stubal in Vladičin Han was started with the support of the Kingdom of Norway, through the project "Norway for You - Serbia". The construction of a 730 meter long sewage network will take three months and will contribute to a better quality of life for the 500 inhabitants of Stubal.

"After completion of the works, conditions will be created for connection to the sewerage network of about 30 households in this settlement, which will significantly improve their quality of life and solve many problems they have had so far due to the lack of a sewerage," says Mayor of Vladičin Han Goran Mladenović.

The project includes surveying and excavation, as well as laying and installation of sewer pipes and shafts. The construction of a sewerage network for households in the village of Stubal in Vladicin Han and connection to the main sewerage network will create conditions for the implementation of similar projects, primarily the construction of a sewerage network in the village of Priboj.

For the implementation of this project, the Kingdom of Norway has allocated 100,000 Euros, and the Municipality of Vladičin Han is contributing 20,000 Euros.

The “Norway for You - Serbia” Project aims to contribute to a balanced socio-economic development in Serbia by increasing employment opportunities, in particular for vulnerable and marginalised groups, supporting social cohesion, improving local infrastructure, supporting the Republic of Serbia’s integration into the European Union and strengthening the information security of the Serbian Government. The Project is funded by the Kingdom of Norway with EUR 6.18 million, and activities on the ground are implemented by the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS). All good governance activities will be implemented in cooperation with Swiss PRO Programme.
